Hyatt Regency San Francisco Is Your Home for the Holidays

Hyatt Regency San Francisco’s annual Atrium Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014. Starting at 7:00 p.m., immediately following the Embarcadero Center’s 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. exterior lighting and ice skating show, the hotel will celebrate the launch of San Francisco’s holiday season with live entertainment with Glide Memorial’s Choir, Meshuga Nutcracker, Brass Quintet and other local entertainment troupes. As the crowning glory, the hotel will be illuminating 300,000 lights, which cascade down the hotel’s dramatic 17-story atrium lobby, complemented by a centerpiece 30-foot illuminated tree.

What’s next? Open 24-hours a day and free to the public, Hyatt Regency San Francisco will continue its holiday tradition with an engaging and interactive snowfall display in its atrium lobby throughout the holiday season.  Complementing the dramatic lights, over-the-top interior décor and 30-foot tree, snow will fall daily from November 22 through December 31, 2014. Snow times are as follows: Weekends (Saturday + Sunday) at 10:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.; 4:30 p.m.; and 6:30 p.m. and on weekdays (Monday – Friday) at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Back by popular demand, the hotel’s legendary Snow Village will be on display in the hotel’s lobby from November 22 through December 30. The 2014 display encompasses over 1000 pieces, ranging from traditional holiday-inspired collectibles to entertaining motion-oriented exhibits.

While all this free entertainment is enough to delight kids of any age, Hyatt Regency San Francisco has the inside track with personal visits from Santa Claus who will be making his appearance during the weekends as well as extended dates for the weekdays leading up to Christmas at Eclipse Restaurant’s Breakfast with Santa. The weekend buffet is offered from 8:00 a.m. to Noon, on November 29 and 30; and December 6, 7, 13, 14 and 20-24. The cost is $29 per adult and $14.50 for children 4-12 while children under four are free (limited to one complimentary child per one adult).

toastFor adults that are interested in a seasonal libations and treats, Eclipse Lounge will feature holiday happy hours throughout December. Offering a special menu every day from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., the Lounge will feature a host of holiday inspired cocktails, at special holiday prices.

Looking to escape kitchen duties during this busy season? Eclipse Restaurant is the perfect “stage” for holiday meals, featuring multi-course dinners as follows: Thanksgiving, November 27 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.; Christmas Eve, December 24 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.; Christmas Day, December 25 from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.; and New Year’s Eve, December 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pricing and menu selections will vary for each holiday meal.
