San Francisco’s Red And White Fleet Celebrates Independence Day With Fireworks Cruises

ImageAnchored in the heart of San Francisco’s #1 destination, namely Fisherman’s Wharf, the historic Red and White Fleet is featuring specialty viewing cruises for the City’s annual Fourth of July Fireworks show on the San Francisco Bay.

Every year, the city of San Francisco lights up the Bay with its 4th of July fireworks festivities.  And, in celebration of the American holiday, Red and White Fleet welcomes celebrants to enjoy up close views of the patriotic entertainment as well as the city’s night time skyline from aboard one of four evening cruises.

Red and White Fleet’s historic ferry boats offer outdoor decks to view the fireworks, as well as indoor spaces to warm up and enjoy the full bar.  After a short cruise towards the launch area of the fireworks, the cruise boats will be stationary to secure a good spot for viewing the show. There will be a total of four departures available. The first two vessels will depart at 7:45pm and return to the dock at around 10:15pm, while the second set of vessels will depart at 8:15pm and return at around 10:30pm. Each cruise has an estimated sailing time of about 2 – 2 ½ hours.  General Admission tickets are $66, with children under the age of five being free. Ticket price includes one beer, wine or soda per paid passenger.

(Note:  Because San Francisco is typically very busy during the Independence Day celebrations, Red and White Fleet advises passengers to check into the box office at Pier 43½ by 6:30pm for any of the cruises and also to either walk to or take public transportation to Fisherman’s Wharf, as large parts of the waterfront will be blocked from vehicular traffic. So parking  near the piers at Fisherman’s Wharf will be limited).

Since its origin during the Golden Gate International Exposition of 1939, millions of locals and visitors alike have enjoyed a journey aboard Red and White Fleet’s Golden Gate Bay Cruise, where tours lead passengers past San Francisco’s biggest landmarks, including under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. Ideal for entertaining guests from near and far, features of the tour include: Red and White Fleet’s exclusive headphone audio, available in 12 languages; up close views of marine wildlife (seagulls, pelicans, sea lions and even dolphins).
